Ralston Scholars Participate in Countrywide Program

Ralston scholars in Ms. Ponce’s Algebra 1 and AVID 8 classes participated in the seven week Khan Academy’s LearnStorm Growth Mindset Program at the beginning of the school year. Students completed a weekly Growth Mindset Activity and a weekly activity reflection. Upon completion, students received a classroom celebration including a LearnStorm Certificate and a Homework or Cornell Notes Pass.
One million students and 280,000 teachers across the country participated in this program. Ms. Ponce submitted evidence of what her students learned about Growth Mindset at the end of the seven week program. As a result, she was named one of the 100 LearnStorm teacher finalists in the United States! She received a $250 Amazon gift card and congratulatory video from the Khan Academy team!!
